CK-12 Foundation free eTextbooks

Postby mattchand » Tue Dec 28, 2010 9:40 am

Just came across my first glimpse at the CK-12 Foundationsfree electronic text book series, mainly (it seems) for high schoolers. I love the idea of this. Is anyone familiar with these? (I seem to recall someone, I think perhaps Steve Foerster, had an earlier interest in free textbooks).

Peace,

Matt

Yes, and in open educational resources in general. There are a number of different free textbook projects out there, like the one you mentioned, and South Africa's Free High School Science Texts. One can find more such materials at the OER Commons.
