Not a bad suggestion - except that this issue - like many others - has LOTS of pros & cons.

I like tenure (for me - I know some less than wonderful tenured faculty) - but I also like the control and cost saving of adjuncts (it impacts my salary) - but if you are an adjunct (and there are diff. categories) you may have a another perception.
