Wikipedia: "...other countries have produced versions of it..."

...as well as one of the sillier jokes of 1956, passed along by our high school tennis coach. At the time the baby was left at the monastery, one of the monks was having an abdominal tumor removed. On an impulse, the surgeon told the monk that he had, in fact, been pregnant, and the new baby was his son. The simple monk accepts this as a miracle, names the baby Marcelino, and raises the child as his own. 18 years later, Marcelino says, "Now that I'm of age, I want to know the truth. How can you be my father?" The monk replies, "Well actually, I'm your mother. The archbishop is your father."

Ha!! That's funny!!!

I have a copy of the original from Spain. It is one of the few in my movie collection. Another one of my favorites is a Sicilian movie named Cinema De Paradiso. On the other end of the spectrum in my collection, V for Vendetta!!!

Take care Doc!
