Research Methods for Credit?

Postby KKA » Fri Sep 03, 2010 11:22 am

Hello Fellow Listers,

Does anyone know of any undergraduate or graduate ways of earning credit in the area of quantitative and qualitative research in non-traditional (sit and get classroom) setting?

Any seminar or online environment, certificate programs, possibly? Any and all information is much appreciated.

Thanks,

KKA

Here's one: http://online.unl.edu/Graduate/Programs ... icate.aspx University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

According to the web-page, the credits from this online Grad certificate are useful toward a Master's degree in research methods.

Hope it helps. :)

And here's another. U of South Florida, Online Grad cert., significant credit toward a Master's, some room for specialization.

PS - I noticed there's quite a bit of this (courses, certs. etc. in research methods) available from UK universities. Said there to be particularly useful (but not limited) to those who intend to pursue British-type research-only degrees, M. Phil upwards. Worth a look. I wish you every success. :)

Relevant, though on a rather different level than the above helpful suggestions, is Excelsior College's "Research Methods in Psychology" proficiency exam, good for 3 credits at many places (including Charter Oak State College).

Peace,
