Voila.

And both my degrees were by distance, as is the doctorate I'm now doing.

I've done two degrees and a diploma by d/l but I agree that I should count only as one since what I'd like to know is how many "lurkers" we have out there.

Three master's via DL from accredited schools and several master's via DL from unaccredited schools; Ph.D. via DL from unaccredited school; contemplating an Ed.D. via DL from accredited school.

Lets see:
BA from Excelsior (Sociology)
MA from Liberty (Counseling)
MS from Univ of West Alabama (Psychology/Counseling)
PhD from Capella (Counseling)
MAIS - WNMU (English/Writing) after I finish the thesis.

And . . . I don't see any thing in the future!

All completely via DL or some residency? Thanks.

Well, I have daily experience WITH DL students (We have about 3,000 of them taking online courses and nearly 1,000 who take online courses exclusively). I have taught online students nearly every semester/quarter for the past several years.

Alas, as a student, I had exactly one hybrid course in my doctoral studies (I receive my masters before online courses existed). It was taught using a system called Web Course in a Box (don't laugh--the company was acquired bought by Blackboard years before it acquired WebCT and ANGEL). Unfortunately, the online portion of the course was not a very pleasant experience for me. It was the professor's first time teaching online and he did not really get the hang of it.

With the capabilities of the internet, the way we educate is changing with these capabilities. It is only wise that we use these new technological tools to reach more people with education. I received my MBA online. This new educational tool of online universities made advancing my education possible. I don't know if it would have been possible without these advancements. I just had too much on my plate to have to travel to and from a traditional university.

How sad that Colorado Tech is reduced to spamming web forums to try to dredge up more students....
