US Students at Canadian Universities - up by 50%

Don't blame 'em.

(1) Easier entry - less about essays, interviews, recommendations etc.
(2) US Student loans are available to them, if they want.
(3) Cost - can be as low as 4 years here for the price of one, back home.
(4) Widely respected schools (and degrees, of course)
(5) Less distractions of "rah-rah" BS, logo's caps and sweatshirts etc. Athletics yes - craziness, no.
(6) Free opportunities to learn French, Mandarin, Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic etc. on campus. :) Yeah, we're inclusive.

Lots more articles out there. The US has to do something about the crazy student cost/debt situations at home. But, until it does...(and even after) American students are welcome here. :)

Country's leaders should address this immediately. No wonder why youngsters now a days do not gain quality education.
